ERP implementation
Make the system fit the business before the business has to fit the system.
A practical ERP implementation process for businesses in Bangladesh and global markets, from discovery through data migration, training and go-live.
The Busicus approach
ERP implementation is business change with a clear delivery path.
An ERP project succeeds when the system reflects how work actually moves through the business. Busicus begins with the operating reality, then makes each decision visible: scope, process, data, user readiness and go-live.
The path below can be phased around the modules and teams that matter most, whether you are replacing spreadsheets, connecting existing tools or building a new operating foundation.
Implementation roadmap
Five connected phases, with decisions visible at every stage.
Open a phase to see the work it covers and the outcome your team can review before moving on.
Phase 01Discovery & process mapping
We start with the people who do the work and the leaders accountable for the outcome. Together, we identify the current workflow, the decisions it supports and the points where information becomes slow, duplicated or unreliable.
- Map the operational flow across the departments in scope.
- Talk with process owners and end users about real handoffs and exceptions.
- Identify business rules, approval points, reporting needs and priority gaps.
- Create an agreed inventory of data, integrations and migration sources.
Phase 02Solution design & configuration
We turn the approved blueprint into an ERP design that fits the business without carrying unnecessary complexity. The work covers modules, roles, approval rules, master data, reports and the integrations that must continue to work around the ERP.
- Prioritise the modules and workflows for the first release.
- Configure roles, permissions, approval paths and reporting views.
- Define the master-data structure for products, customers, suppliers, accounts or employees.
- Review required integrations and validate the solution in a controlled environment.
Phase 03Data preparation & migration
Data quality determines whether an ERP can become a reliable source of truth. We treat migration as a controlled business exercise: choose the right data, clean it, map it to the new structure and validate it before any production cutover.
- Confirm the data sources, ownership and migration rules.
- Clean, standardise and map opening balances, master records and historical information.
- Run trial migrations and reconcile the results with the business team.
- Obtain approval for production-ready data before go-live.
Phase 04Validation, training & readiness
Before launch, the people who will run the system test their everyday scenarios end to end. Training is organised around each role and the decisions that role needs to make, so users can work independently once the system is live.
- Test realistic transactions, approvals, reporting and exception cases.
- Resolve agreed issues before the production release.
- Train users by role, team and workflow instead of one generic session.
- Confirm readiness, support contacts and the communication plan for launch.
Phase 05Go-live, handover & improvement
Go-live is a monitored transition, not the end of the engagement. We guide the cutover, help the team resolve early issues and turn the first period of real usage into a prioritised improvement backlog.
- Coordinate cutover tasks and confirm the production environment.
- Monitor the first workflows, reports and user questions closely.
- Document decisions, ownership and the handover path for the team.
- Review early lessons and prioritise the next improvements.
